So I did have one trip that helped me get back on my flying feet last fall to LA to visit my sister and Matt, but this one started off even better! I flapped my arms so hard! Actually, I really wasn’t nervous much at all this time since I knew what to expect. Mom was just getting over a cold, but at the moment (we will get to that later) I was just fine. It was a beautiful morning and these were some of the sites we got to see on the way there:

So with the gorgeous plane ride and everything flowing just smoothly, we went back to the same restaurant Anna took us to last time called Porto’s and it was just delish. I was wearing my Green Festival Tee and had my back to the line of people waiting for food. Mom told me a bunch of people were reading it, cool!

So on our way to their apartment, we saw Jay Leno in front of some biker joint. Someone who appreciates cars was there and we were all looking at the car at first and the guy who was holding out his pinky while he took the picture of the car. Then Anna or Matt said, “that’s Jay,” and I finally saw who it was. Yes, a celebrity siting, but that wasn’t the best part. The icing on the cake was Matt saying (oh I wish the window was rolled down more) “Jay is a giant douche” and all of us just sitting there and agreeing. Mostly this was in reference of a law to be passed in California on old car emission exemptions, but since then has been buying up electric cars. Whatever, he’s still a giant douche. I just loved the fact that he was right there when we said it

We got to see their new apartment which is SO much better than their last one. Roach free (I didn’t see any) and had a lovely pool with palm trees and flowers all around. It’s a great place and I am really happy for them.
