five years ago…

June 7th, 2003 at the Leach Botanical Gardens - Portland Oregon
Although we have technically been together eleven years, meeting during our school days at the Art Institute of Seattle, today is our five year wedding anniversary. To be honest, I knew it was coming up today, but when the day started, I had completely forgotten. Myk had to remind me as he does with most things.
We went out to dinner at our favorite Thai restaurant and then just relaxed and spent some quality time together. Nothing fancy, just some laughing, relaxing and a reminder of why we are still together.

One minute after saying, “I do.”

The day after the wedding we took everyone to Canon Beach, Oregon where we all splashed around in the waves.

Newlyweds, the next day at Canon Beach.
Thank you babe, the last five years have been amazing.
I’ll Back You Up - Dave Matthews Band
I remember thinking
I’ll go on forever only knowing
I’ll see you again
But I know
The touch of you is so hard to remember
But like that touch I know no other
And for sure we have danced
In the risk of each other
Would like to dance
Around the world with me
Ill be falling all about my own thing
And I know your the heaviest weight
When your not here thats hung
Around my head
And your lips burn wild
Thrown from the face of a child
And in your eyes
The seeing of the greatest few
Do what you will, always
Walk where you like, your steps
Do as you please, Ill back you up
I remember thinking
Sometimes we walk
Sometimes we run away
But I know
No matter how fast we are running
Somehow we keep
Somehow we keep up with each other
Ill be falling all about my own thing
And I know your the heaviest weight
Hen your not here thats hung
Around my head
And your lips burn wild
Thrown from the face of a child
And in your eyes
The seeing of the greatest few
Do what you will, always
Walk where you like, your steps
Do as you please, Ill back you up
