at long last

I think both Shauna and I can breath a sigh of relief.

She and I have both been working on labors of love (her a bit more literally in a couple weeks with Little Bean) and we didn’t expect it to take over a year, but we both launched our new sites today.

Hers: Gluten-Free Girl Recommends
A site dedicated to all her favorite products, restaurants and foods.

Mine: Seattle Sostane
A site dedicated to remarkable women redefining sustainable business.

Granted, she had a site full of content and all I had to do to help her was make it pretty. And granted, I had to launch my own site right along with hers to get some great advertising. We both worked pretty damn hard if I do say so!

So with our new babies out there for the world to see, it’s time for us to first get some rest (I can’t even go into how little sleep I have gotten lately) and second, celebrate till the cows come home. Our spouses, friends and families have supported us all throughout this last year and we owe so much to them. And we supported each other, looking at each others ideas and saying “It will work out great, you just HAVE to do it!”

So here is a toast to us! Hip, hip, hooray!
