You’re building a business. A good one. And you’re doing it brick by brick. This is a task for the truly determined.
Do you sometimes feel you’d like to know more, learn more, test more before you’re ready to take the next step? Maybe you think you need to go to school or get a certain number of clients before you will hire a business consultant to help you finalize your plans.
I used to know a photographer (she took my favorite headshot ever!) who said she wasn’t a “real” photographer and didn’t think she was ready for her own website. My response: “You’re doing it. You’ve done the work. You’ve set all this up. You’ve marketed yourself. You are a real photographer.”
There is no single right way to start or run your business. Every owner’s journey is different and most of the time it’s a lot of trial and error. Determination is the key.
Take the next step. Get in touch and ask me how I can help get you over the next hurdle. I offer free half-hour consults and no-obligation quotes.
Life brings so many different kinds of people our way. Some stay a while and become our dearest and closest confidantes, while others breeze out after a short stay. Some friends we hope to know a long while; others help us determine what we don’t want in our lives.
Is there someone in your life who is bringing you down? Who sees every hopeful floating balloon of an idea you announce as a chance to grab it out of the air, or even to take a pin and pop it?
Life is too damn short to be surrounded with Eeyores or Marvins.
The people you want around you are the cheerleaders, the shouters at the finish line beckoning you further. These will help you maintain the level of determination you’ve worked so hard to achieve.
You CAN do it.
“And suddenly you just know…It’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.”
― Meister Eckhart
TAKE IT TO HEART
Brace yourself: this is a hard one. Think of one person in your life that you need to say goodbye to. Someone who just doesn’t fit with who you are. I think you can think of at least one, even if it’s someone you don’t know well. Now try this: First, thank them silently. Thank them for everything they’ve taught you and blessed you with. Then make your exit with grace.
